Sever is an accomplished organizational development and strategic marketing consultant, a fun, dynamic facilitator and coach with over 15 years experience in the corporate, non-profit, and academic sectors, creating, promoting, designing, and delivering an impressive array of Organizational Effectiveness, Learning Solutions, and Business Development workshops and consultations across a wide variety of industries. She has a strong track record in introducing and implementing creative solutions and entrepreneurial efficiencies to business and learning environments through recruiting and hiring,team leadership, product development, marketing and promotions, teaching, coaching, and virtual project management.
Sheryl began her career in the non-profit sector working in Chicago’s largest Latino community creating employment and education opportunities for youth. With several journeys to southern Mexico and Latin America, she relocated to San Francisco, California. Here, she established a very exciting and successful marketing career in meeting and event planning promoting and organizing international trade shows, national sales meetings, educational and cultural tours, and community events.
Additionally, Sheryl spent two years working with the American-Hispanic Cultural Institute in Madrid, Spain and later in the Czech Republic as an English as a Second Language and Cross Cultural Business Communications Specialist, training educators, travel, and management professionals.
For many years, Sheryl has been studying and synthesizing a variety of approaches to facilitate organizational growth and change, effective communication, and personal development. She has designed and led courses and “train the trainer” workshops to professionals from over 40 countries, and she has successfully coached hundreds of individuals and companies through change, growth, and transition.
With a well-established and diverse network of top-performing training and consulting professionals, Sheryl established Cross Currents Communications in 1996. She is currently on the faculty of the Creative Work/Life Transitions program at San Francisco State College of Extended Learning.
